Following a dramatic shift to primarily remote learning, and after facing some of their own darkest moments, San José State University’s students returned to campus life in the fall of 2021 and began to navigate a new chapter in their education.
In this poignant video interview, a diverse group of six SJSU students from across majors and disciplines share personal experiences from the pandemic, how it impacted them and the ways they now embrace change — and cultivate gratitude for others and themselves.
During this unique time in history, in which society is reconfiguring day-to-day activities in a not quite post-pandemic world, the time has come for them to move forward with a new sense of awareness and hope. Their resilience is an example of how we can all rise anew after traumatic events.
