How Our Students Are Changing the World

Our commitment to hands-on learning and interdisciplinary collaboration empowers students to tackle real-world challenges with cutting-edge technology.

A shining example of this is the recent success of CollegeBot.AI, an AI-powered platform developed by a multidisciplinary student team of our students. Designed to provide 24/7 academic advising and AI teaching assistance, CollegeBot.AI addresses resource disparities between public and private colleges. Their innovative approach garnered first place at the 21st Annual Silicon Valley Innovation Challenge (SVIC), highlighting the impact of student-led AI projects.

The team, comprising students from diverse fields such as mathematics, entrepreneurship, operations and supply chain management; Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management; and accounting exemplifies our interdisciplinary ethos. Their collaboration not only led to competition success but also attracted significant attention from industry leaders, including Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI. With over $500,000 in funding and a growing user base exceeding 20,000 students, CollegeBot.AI is poised to revolutionize academic support services.

Beyond CollegeBot.AI, our students have developed other notable AI-driven innovations:

  • MockerView: An AI-driven platform simulating job interviews, enabling users to practice and refine their skills in realistic settings tailored to specific roles.
  • Task Buddy: A subscription-based AI-powered mobile app connecting students needing errands run with peers seeking to earn extra income, fostering a supportive campus community.

These projects underscore our dedication to nurturing student innovation in AI, providing the resources, mentorship and platforms necessary for our students to transform visionary ideas into impactful realities.
